Happy Friday! I started a new protocol this week and I feel like I’m eating 24/7 😂 The good news is I think we are finally getting to the root of the inflammation, GI issues and weight gain I have been experiencing since I got Covid last year. I know a lot of you have had ups and downs with your health issues- so I wanted to share what I’m going through because I get it!!

I am confident that I WILL get back to where I was before (which was probably feeling like 75% better- but I am working my way towards 100%). It can be a long journey, so if you’re going through it, hang in there! I am seeing 2 new providers (this is your sign that it’s ok to switch providers if something isn’t working) and we have a good game plan!

Some of the key takeaways are that I am experiencing insulin resistance, I have not been getting enough potassium (hence the water retention) and that I need to retrain my body with something like the Utah Adapt protocol (despite already being able to work out upright). I also am probably still experiencing symptoms from mold exposures. My protocols are lengthy, but I will continue sharing bits and pieces on my Instagram stories!

For this month’s expert Q+A, I am featuring Dr. Navaz Habib (@drnavazhabib). I read his book Activate Your Vagus Nerve, a few years ago when I was diagnosed with chronic symptoms and it was so helpful! He more recently wrote a new book, Upgrade Your Vagus Nerve. The vagus nerve can play a huge part in chronic symptoms, so I highly recommend these books if you are dealing with chronic inflammation, gut issues, brain fog, autoimmunity or any other chronic health issues! He answered all of your great questions below! His tips are so helpful.

-I have been loving these paper towels recently! If you have been looking to swap over your paper towels and toilet paper to a non-toxic version- I love this brand!
